Fighting to Protect Our Orcas & Salmon

The Southern Resident orcas (killer whales) of Puget Sound, Washington are starving. Chinook salmon make up 80% of their diet – salmon that journey 900 miles from the Pacific Ocean to spawn in the mountain streams of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Four outdated dams on the Snake River are blocking their path. Fewer salmon means fewer orcas. It's that simple, and that devastating.

Sue has long partnered with conservation organizations like Save Our Wild Salmon fighting to protect these fragile ecosystems.
