Kokopelli's flute-playing chases away the winter and brings about spring. Many tribes, such as the Zuni, also associate him with the rains. Some tribes say he carries seeds and babies on his back, and he also represents the spirit of music. He is also known as a healer, storyteller and trickster. Kokopelli is one of the most easily recognized figures found in the petroglyphs of the Southwest. See inside the Grasshopper above the wise Owl, and find the Tortoise and the Hare. The Lizard is basking in the sun under the ever watchful Wolf. Look for the Ladybug who will bring you good luck and happiness!
